Spring 2010
Coach's new products for spring of 2010 are now out! This season they are doing something a little different. I always think of the classic blacks, browns, and golds when it comes to Coach products.....but of course I also know that they like to use bright loud colors on their products as well. However, for this season the look is more muted than what we usually see when we walk in the stores. The bags and accessories are pastels and metallics. They are using colors that we don't usually tend to see from Coach such as, tourqouise, purples (varying shades), peach, chalk, taupe, yellow, sand, and some silvery metallics. I am so excited for Coach some of these new bags are really pretty I may just have to get one!

Coach's History

Coach started out as a family business in Manhattan in 1941 under the name of Manhattan Leather Bags. It began with six original leather makers where they made smaller items including wallets, etc. in 1946 Manhattan Leather Bags hired Miles Cahn who made a bag collections consisting of 12 handbags. He was inspired by the look and construction of a leather baseball glove. in 1962, Coach hired Bonnie Cashin. She created the brass toggle hardware that Coach is so well known for. With all this new success Coach ran it's first ad in the New Yorker in 1963.
Lew Frankfort joined the company in 1979. He is Coach's CEO today and he is responsible for transforming Coach from a small leather goods company to the acclaimed brand. In the 90's he created the "affordable luxury" brand, which helped to get more customers. In 2001 Coach became even bigger when they came out with the Coach Signature Collection. This brought along a variety of colors, stylers and the infamous double C design.
Coach has been a growing company since it started they attract me and women of all ages due to their efforts of having lower priced specialty goods, but not all Coach is always affordable. They do their best at reaching a variety of customers by having goods ranging from $138-$798.
